Wescoe Environmental Study, take 2

There was another meeting this afternoon regarding the air quality studies for Wescoe. The only thing found so far were higher than normal, but not dangerous, levels of formaldehyde on the third floor.

The tidbit I thought was funniest was the fact that they plan to do another air quality test when--get this--there's a strong wind blowing from the Southeast. In other words, from Malott. cough

But nobody HERE has been getting cancer, and we have regular environmental checks like that. I know, because I have to go around opening all the lab doors for them. Hands down they do it for chem and pharm too.

That's because all the wind is blowing it our way.

Honestly, the whole thing is a sham. Even if they did find something wrong with the building, I would be absolutely floored if they told anyone.

There was an article or something in the UDK. I have had two grad students asking me about eating in the UG because of the cancer. Seriously.

They'd have to outright lie. Which... come to think of it shoudn't be a problem!

I would discourage them from eating in the Underground not because of the cancer worries, but because of the cockroaches. =b

I'm kinda expecting them to lie, and then install newer scrubbers on the outputs of the venthood systems, as a band-aid to the damage that they might be doing.

I suspect they are thinking of the vents on top of Malott.
They are like cancerous cannons that point at Wescoe.
