Loads of excitement here

Maybe it's just me and my own weird issues with this computer, but has anyone else had a problem selecting text in LJ? Specifically to quote text in a comment? It highlights the entire page from that point down or not at all. So if I want to quote text from a post in a comment, I have to type the whole phrase. I can highlight bits of text just fine when I'm writing or editing a post, just not when I'm viewing a post or commenting. Very odd and more than a little irritating.

I have final word when Zada's bellydancers will be out at Faire. I'll be performing with them Sept. 16-17 (that's third weekend) and then they'll be performing again Saturday, Oct. 7. I will not perform with them for the October date. So, [livejournal.com profile] nottygypsy, you've got me for the third weekend's smokers.

The gym didn't kill me yesterday, although my arms were mighty tired by the time I got home.

I've been having the same issue in Firefox, but not in IE. It's weird, but not uncommon. The LJ folks play silly buggers with their Javascript now and then.

I've started highlighting the text I want to quote before clicking "leave comment" and that seems to be working for now.

Glad to know I'm not alone, at least.

Nope. At least not with Windows XP/Firefox.

Not with IE 7 either.

Please take a look at your contract and make sure the dates match what your new scheduling will be. If not, call Jessica Willard and ask her if it is possible for you to interliniate the correct dates. If so, then do so, initial the change and return your contract to the office.

D.

Yup. Already called her and it's in the mail.

Hey! I got here from reading a person of a person's journal... you know how that is. Anyhow, I was wondering- I noticed you like N. Gaiman, and comics. I'm moving soon, and am trying to downsize. I have a LOT of comics, and would love to find someone who would appreciate them/ would want to buy them for cheap what have you. They're all just about DC Vertigo from the early 90's. It's sad- it was such an important part of my life, and while I appreciate them so much and they're place in my life, I really want them to move on to a new home. And also, I was thinking, it would be so cool if there was like a trading comic site. Like where you can send a comic that you've just read to someone else, and have someone send you a comic that you read and pass on. Like in a big circle. That way, they're getting appreciated, and not just hanging around collecting dust, AND you can have someone commenting on something, passing the comic with the comments on, like a travelling commentary on the travelling comic itself.
Anyways, sorry for the long comment. Hit me back if any of this sounds interesting.

Thanks, but I'm trying to keep personal possessions to a minimum, myself. I already take up waaaay too much room for one person.

And no way do I have time to set up a lending library, although it is a very cool idea.

You might go talk to the people at Astrokitty, if you're in Lawrence.
