So. Yesterday kicked my ass.

6:30 a.m. The alarm went off and I couldn't find the clock. Beep beep beep and I couldn't find the clock. It went to the more insistent beep-beep-beep beep-beep-beep and still I couldn't find the damn clock! It was then that I realized the reason I couldn't find it was because I hadn't opened my eyes yet. I finally peeled my eyes open, found the clock, turned it off and thought "ugh." Closed my eyes and put my head back on the pillow. I checked the time and it was 8:05. I called in sick.

Mostly just lazed about, desperately wanting some hot and sour soup but lacking the motivation to go get some. I carried a low-level sinus headache with me, some general achiness, and a slight fever. I did go to yoga, but I'm not sure it helped much. Doubled up on the allergy meds today. Stupid allergies. I hate them. Ragweed counts are through the roof today, but at least the Mold levels are down to "moderate" from a nearly month-long run of "high."

Tonight it's do or die for the completion of the costume for this weekend. I know a couple people are stopping by for various errands and such. To keep me honest and on track (no reading! no cleaning! no playing with the cat!), feel free to come over tonight with a project and we can work together--sorry, this is not leisure time! I know bestill is also on a deadline, and I'm serious about getting stuff done. I declare open house craft time from 6:00 to 10:00. I'll have a pot of coffee on, but you might wanna bring your own cream--all I've got is powdered creamer. I'm out of the real stuff and I don't have time to go to the store.

Thanks. I tell ya, it's bad enough that this is the worst time of year for me for allergies. Add the Faire Aire and it's hell. Damn me for loving it out there so much, because it wreaks havoc on my sinuses and respiratory system.
