Sometimes being a nubile young woman really isn't very much fun. I had a bad Girl Day yesterday and stayed home all day for some quality time with kitty, books, and Mr. Heating Pad.
Casino Royale (seen this weekend, prior to my uterus staging a rebellion) is astounding. I have zero complaints about the movie (a few quibbles regarding a costume choice, but nothing about the movie). To all the people who didn't even bother to see the movie before panning Daniel Craig: Choke on it. It's everything the novels are and the previous cartoon-style gadget-riddled movies weren't. Amazing. Awesome. Also,
gmskarka, I take back my ambivalent feelings about the theme song. Hearing it when those opening credits (also fabulous) were rolling made a big difference. I kinda like it now.
And for a complete change of pace, I'll be going to see Happy Feet with my parents over Thanksgiving weekend.

I very nearly made a phone post from the theater parking lot after the movie. There are so few movies that I feel honor the books that inspired them. Casino Royale did that and then some. I told someone it was very nearly a spiritual experience. And I was only sorta joking.

Unfortunately, it's not being released in South Korea. FIE!

To say I had zero complaints about the movie would be false - but I will say that it has taken its place as an instant Bond classic in my heart and I love how it has reinvigorated and reinvented the franchise (as it was very necessary).
