Home again, home again. Fetish was, of course, delighted to have me back and insisted on sleeping on my face the entire night.

Highlights:

Spending more time alone with my Nana than usual. We visited the ethnic supermercado (asian, indian, mexican) and spent two hours wandering the aisles of fantastic (and sometimes freakish) food.

Happy Feet with the parents.

Lunch and a movie at the Indiana State Museum with Daddy.

A lovely chat and breakfast with amjhawk when I got back to Lawrence.

Lowlights:

The largest item of meat on Thursday's dinner table was a small bowl of crumbled bacon to sprinkle on the corn chowder soup. Everyone else in my family is a glutton with no self control, so I got to miss out on anything even resembling a holiday meal. It was tasty, but come on.

Getting a stomachache from the "light dinner" of corn chowder, thanks to the four sticks of butter and pint of whipping cream in the soup. How was this more healthful than a ham? Color me clueless.

Tonight, Deke Dickerson at Knuckleheads in KC. Gonna be a late night. I might take off work tomorrow. We'll see how I feel in the morning.

How About a Frozen Dinner

We unpacked all day and had a frozen dinner for lunch. rorschach grilled chicken for dinner and homeade curry the next day which made up for it a little but I do miss my holiday "stuffing" - both the act of and the breaded kind.
