I would like everyone to know, however, that I did this with a radio playing bad modern country in the background. You know how hard it is to concentrate on a song when a *different* song is playing? Yeah.
Oh my gosh...I realized that I didn't listen to nearly enough top 40 in the 80s and recoiled from REM and big hair bands. :-) I did get 4 questions that were worth 4 points each, supposedly because no on knows them. I do! I do! Do you happen to know what the score is out of. Is it 100 points?
I'm not sure. The scoring is very odd. If the author thought a song was "too popular", you didn't get as many points, even if the question had more than one blank.
Hair bands drive me crazy, but alas, I suffered an unhealthy exposure to them at school dances and from MTV on Friday nights.
Did you get the Animotion one? I loved them!!! I was a little disappointed that there wasn't one Berlin or Cure song.
I think the scariest part for me was knowing so many ballads. Then again, I was exposed to that crap by attending 12 step program dances in another lifetime. Funny, I got a lot of the "no one knows this" ones also. But then, I'm good at remembering lyrics.
I have to admit, I spelled "colitas" as "calitas" on the Eagles one, but I went back and changed it when I saw how it was spelled on the answer key. That altered my score by a bit, but I blame Don Henley's lazy schwa pronunciation for my failure and refuse to take responsibility for it. =)
