Yesterday,
starstraf sent me a link to a knitting book, Naughty Needles: Sexy, Saucy Knits for the Bedroom and Beyond. The name of the author rang a bell for me, so I googled her. Ah, yes. Nikol Lohr, the hot and funny creator of Disgruntled Housewife and Out of the Frying Pan. I corresponded with her for a brief time (ages ago, back when I still lived on Tennessee) and relinquished to her my faboo Naughty Nurse outfit (actual nurse duds leftover from my Candy Striper days)when I started to put on my thyroid weight. It was good to see she's doing so well.
It's a rough morning for me today. I'm dealing with nasty menstrual cramps (the kind where I can't sit up straight) and a general feeling of distrust and disappointment with the world (a variety of factors). The weather isn't helping. The one thing that got me out of bed this morning (late, at 7:30--I forgot to set my alarm) is
curieuse's wedding. I can't wait to see her, beautiful and shining with hope and love. The sight will surely help shake me out of this malaise, at least for an hour or two.
I couldn't find a single hat this morning, so I had to come to work hatless (luckily I keep one at the office). Two wool berets and a kitty hat. You'd think I could have found one of them in my apartment this morning, but no.
This post is drowning in parentheticals. I should stop while I'm ahead (barely).

I'm having an ungodly difficult time actually working on anything today. Doing lots of little things to avoid any of the larger projects I could dive into.
*sigh*

If you don't need it at all, feel free to bring it by this weekend sometime, unless the weather is still gross.
