This redistribution of wealth is trickier than I thought
Mommy bought me some of the Chocolate Dipped Cinnamon Altoids for my birthday. They're amazing. I'm hoping to get Brit's to special order me some. Still waiting to hear back on that.
I'm also waiting on Brown's Shoe Fit to call me back about ordering these shoes. And I've been waiting (almost a month now) for Joel at Astrokitty to let me know if he can get these figurines. They're on order! Sheesh. Who knew cutting out online shopping would be so difficult? I know I don't live in a booming metropolis, but I found all three of these items with quick and easy Google searches. Is it that much more difficult for retailers to contact their distributors? You'd think with brick-and-mortar stores fighting so hard to stay in business, people would call me back within, oh, four days of my request--if nothing else, at least to let me know that no they can't order the item.
Today's mood is a bit brighter. That's a good thing because the ambient atmosphere of my office can only be described as insanely cold. A lot of people in Wescoe envy my window, and to those people I say: You can have it. It's letting in so much cold air today that I can feel a draft on my hands when I'm typing. The curtain I have (closed) across my window is, I swear, moving in the breeze. The movement is very, very slight, but discernable.
I can't wait to get out of this office. We'll see if it really happens.
I got my gas bill yesterday. I used twice as much gas heating my apartment as I did last January. Twice, almost to the number. Yeah, it's been a chilly one. I'm ready for spring.
EDIT: Y'all need to trot over to
chronovore's LJ and check out the YouTube video he's got posted. It'll pretty much make your day. You need sound.

But I'm not sure I believe you that the chocolate dipped altoids are good.
