Nervous tic

I've had a tic in my right eye for two weeks now. What causes that? Anyone know? I don't think mine is caused by lack of sleep, but who knows. I'm not certain I'm sleeping well since I often wake up tired, and I'm usually ready to sleep by 8:30 or 9:00. No, I don't think this has anything to do with DST--it's been going on for weeks.

This creeping crud is (I think) just allergies. When I went to bed last night I felt fine (exhausted, but fine). I woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat and headache. This morning I feel like ass again. For the next week, I shall double up on my Claritin (one in the morning and one at dinner), plus my usual bedtime Benedryl. Tonight I'm going to wash my sheets and mattress pad, and run an air filter all night. We'll see if any of that helps. I hope so because this sucks.

Maybe the tic and the sleeplessness and the allergies are just one big mess rolled into one. Here's hoping things get better as the season progresses.

I'm very happy to be sitting on my new pink ball. Very happy indeed.

You tea-drinkers out there should wander over to Tea Mistress Tea Cozies. I've already got my order in for one! I've wanted a tea cozy for a long time, but didn't make one for myself since I have a great and unreasonable fear of piping...and they just don't look right without the piping, IMO. So hurray! Expect to be offered a proper tea if you come over to my place this spring. I imagine I'll be taking just about any opportunity to show off my new cozy.

I really need a day off to go shop for a serger. I think I'm going to have to go to KC if I want to buy a used one, or test drive anything other than a Janome or Babylock/Bernina. *sigh* I should just suck it up already and take the vacation time. Maybe a half day on Friday? Hm. ponders...

I tend to get a tic like that when I am either very, very tired or stressed out - but for me, the two seem to go hand in hand. Once I de-stress and/or catch up on sleep, it goes away.

Hm. Yeah, I wouldn't say my stress level is exactly low right now, but I didn't think it was to the level where it would start affecting me physically. But that's certainly possible. I have a tendency to dismiss emotional stressors until I make myself sick. Bleh.

Tic tic tic...

Stress. Lack of sleep. And vitamin deficiency. I haven't been bothered enough to find out which one, but both myself and the teenager tend to get tics more often when we have slacked off on our multi-vitamins or haven't been ingesting enough fruit.

Your mother has a posterior well?

LOL! I thought you meant something like that but I couldn't figure it out.

Sergers... ahhh the wonderful serger. If you just need one, you can get one cheap, under $200 at wal-mart. On the Truely Victorian forum the discussion was that it was a good deal. But if you need fancy stuff then hit Sew Easy in KC. The Lawrence sewing and vac place is nice, but pushy, so pushy I stopped going.

The tic? You're having a Clint Eastwood moment but just don't realize it.
Go ahead, life... make my day.

Tea Cozies! hee. You Americans! The only reason it's a traditional part of tea service is because British homes did not have central heating, and with the teapot placed on the sideboard, it would soon go quite cold.
But, yes, so very charming.

Have you seen how low I keep my thermostat in the winter? I might as well not have central heating. For someone who likes her tea piping hot, a cozy will come in very very handy.

Don't pull that "you Americans" with me, buster. =b

Hee.
Besides all that.. who can resist one more decorator touch? I can only imagine the works we shall see from Yosa in the months to come. She's amazing!

My eye does that on occasion, and my great-grandmother's used to a lot. I really don't know why. I've never associated it with anything. Definitely not because of a lack of sleep, or my eyes would be spazzing beyond belief right now.

I have been having allergy problems as well, and have had to start taking Benedryl. Weather.com says the pollen count is high.

I've never associated it with anything.

I used to only associate it with the head inspector guy from the Pink Panther movies. I never thought I'd wind up with one, too.

I started getting a twich every now and again about 4 years ago. I figure it's pretty much stress related since I hasn't come back since the move to San Diego. So if you really want to get rid of it you need to move to SD. :)

Or at least take more vacations there!

Eye twitch

I am going to throw in my 2 cents. I always blamed it on caffeine consumption. And the Pink Panther madness...
