Tidbits
The witty music editors at NPR really outdid themselves this morning. An article on the public use of defibrillators was followed by a few bars of the song "Young at Heart." I want that person's job.
Everyone (yes everyone) needs to read this morning's entry from adammaker.
On the desk that I sat at in Spanish this morning:
Drugs have taught the last two generations of Americans the metric system.
Speaking of Spanish, our listening quiz this morning was ridiculous. The woman who read the instructions (in English) spoke slower than the person who read the article (in Spanish). I think the entire class (including me) was stunned. Oof.
Instead of going to the gym this morning, I spent an hour cleaning the kitchen and then prepped a casserole for dinner. I couldn't face another evening without a home-cooked meal. Despite getting to class late, I feel wonderful. Apparently I am a domestication addict. I also broke out the knitting needles two nights ago (cross your fingers for me, stimps). I'm trying for a scarf this time since I feel I have progressed past the potholder stage. We'll see what happens.
Because of my efforts in the kitchen this morning, I have no breakfast or lunch with me. Anyone who feels like picking me up and going out to lunch with me today would be highly appreciated. I'm freezing at work, so I need warm food. India Palace and Jade Mongolian BBQ are at the top of my crave list right now.

A shame, I was busy earlier.

Ptthpthhptt.
Everyone here at work keeps telling me to go get a damn salad already but I just can't bring myself to eat another salad right now. I was sooooo cold yesterday from not getting hot food. And seriously, even my officemate (who usually keeps her bloody window open in January) is cold in the office today. Poor me!!! At least I still have a few teabags left.
OK I sound pathetic so I'm just going to shut up. =)
