This is the third morning in a row of 8 hours of sleep, my one week anniversary on Fast-5, a gloriously sunny day, and my social calendar is packed well into June. I Feel Great!!!

Also, for my fellow Pale Sisters: The despised self-tanning lotion has really come around. May I introduce you to Oil of Olay Touch of Sun. A slather over my legs two or three times a week (usually after shaving) does wonders. I like my fair skin, but when short-skirt weather comes along, I appreciate something that will help diminish the appearance of my spider veins and bruises. The very slight color also

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! Jim Gunn just brought in his trophy for Grand Master to show me. I was cooing over it (it's insanely gorgeous!) when he sort of chuckled and said "It's rather heavy..." and we walked across the hall so he could put it in 3114 Wescoe. He's going to leave it there for today. I strongly encourage anyone on campus today to come take a look at it. It. Is. Beautiful!

OK, where was I? Oh yeah, lotion. Hm. Doesn't seem so interesting now. So I'll just say it's worth the $8 or so a bottle. Give it a try if you want a little color on your legs without the sun exposure.

Does it have that vague lemony chemical scent that sticks around?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2007-05-16 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
It does have a scent, but it's not nearly so strong as the older brands. *sniffs own leg* Yeah, it's there, but it's kind of nice, IMO. I agree with you, those original ones smelled nasty.

Thanks! It's now on my list.

I haven't used self-tanning lotions since the early 90s when I was involved in a certain activity that made me jump around in a short skirt during the winter.

Back then, the stuff smelled really weird, and OMG, sort of orange. And just try to get it on without streaking.

I should try some now just to see how much it has improved.

This stuff is really impressive. No streaking, only a slight scent, and the resulting color is very subtle.

Hee. The visual there is great.

I got a wee tube sample of the Dove Glow lotion. I'll give you a report on it.

I should also mention that his trophy is an inch or two taller than the Nebula Awards that others took home *g*

Aww. JG is pretty gorgeous for an old guy, too, I'd say. (The blue eyes!) But I'm not touching that comment about the INCHES . . . .
