So. Much. Better.
Oh, hurray! The joy of waking up sans headache cannot be described. Bliss!
Last night
mckitterick and I went to dinner for possibly the last time at Bigg's BBQ. I've been a fan of their burgers since they opened. Not anymore. I don't know if it's the lack of competition from now-defunct Molly McGee's, but their burgers have gone steadily downhill for the past couple months. Last night we both finished our sandwiches and sides--whereas we always took home to-go boxes. My burger looked suspiciously pre-formed, and
mckitterick's pulled pork sandwich was, in a word, puny. It would be one thing if the food got smaller but stayed of excellent quality. It didn't. So cross that one off our list of favorites and hope 23rd Street Brewery's burgers don't suffer the same fate. For BBQ needs, we will continue to patronize Vermont St. BBQ.
When we got home, we shared a bowl of popcorn (yeah, room for popcorn after dinner? crazy!) and watched Hot Fuzz. Neither of us had seen it before and we both loved it. Shame on me for not taking the time to see this one in the theater.
I decided on the Halloween-y costume for dancing tonight. I just gotta go get a new fishnet bodystocking sometime this afternoon. If I find a spiderweb bodystocking, that would be excellent, but I'll settle for fishnet. Some dark red, or purple tights for gauntlets (if I can find any) would be icing on the cake. Now the only question remaining--to veil? Or not to veil. Whether 'tis smarter in the restaurant to attempt the slings and spinnings of hazardous chiffon, or to use swords against a crowd of customers, and by balancing, entertain them?
