Ground Beef Curry
Here's the second recipe, a couple days ahead of schedule (I haz internet at home for the mo').
Olive oil
2 onions, chopped
2 lb lean ground beef (I used venison)
1 T curry powder
1 T garlic powder (I'm out of garlic, hence the powder on both recipes)
2 t ground ginger (or 2 T fresh ginger, crushed)
1 can diced tomates
1 can tomato paste
2 beef bullion cubes
1 c water
1 bag of frozen cut okra, thawed
salt to taste
Saute the onions in a small amount of oil until they're golden. Add the meat and brown until done. Drain if neccessary. Add all remaining ingredients and combine well. Crush the bullion cubes as they soften. Simmer for 30 minutes or so, stirring often.
You'll notice my recipes are huge (as in, the amount of food they make). This is because I love to cook but hate to clean. I make a lot of food and then freeze half, or give some of it away. If you or your family don't like leftovers (a mentality I have never understood), just halve the recipe.
