I want to go home early today. Dunno if I can wrap everything up by then, though. We'll see.

Also: I spent waaaaay too much money last month. Gotta rein it in for the rest of the holiday season. Thank god for the Handmade Pledge to help keep me in line. I'm only purchasing one gift from a retail store this year (no other options for this particular individual, alas), and only one more handmade item remains to be purchased, from bestill. Everything else is...currently sitting at some level of (de)construction in my sewing room.

OK, back to work so I can go home. Hopefully.

LOL. I had a mother in law who was a terrible nag. She'd brought me wool from Mykonos and wanted me to make myself a skirt. She nagged me about half of December, On Christmas she started opening presents. Handmade placemats, napkins and napkin rings to match the drapes in her kitchen. Aprons -- BBQ for him, hostess for her -- fully lined (and made from measurements, not patterns). A stuffed chicken doorstop. A quilt and pillows for my son. Aprons for her parents; placemats, napkins, napkin rings for my sister.

About then she turned around and apologized for nagging me about making myself a skirt. I think she figured I was watching TV and eating bonbons or something. Heh.

Hurray for people who own up to their faults and apologize! I think most people would have just hunkered down in shame and not said anything.

Embarassingly enough, all the purchases lately have been for me me me.
