Not content-free, just boring

A public service announcement to graduate school applicants: Taping your envelope shut to the point that one cannot insert a letter opener under the flap does not endear you to the secretary trying to open your application materials.

I went to the Union this morning to purchase a tee shirt for stuology. There were about twenty folks standing around waiting to purchase the spanking-new ORANGE BOWL CHAMPIONS shirts. The bookstore employee who opened the first box pulled one out (facing her) and cried out in a shocked voice "Virginia Tech?!?!" People chuckled nervously until she turned the shirt around. Hurray for funny people!

I got a 30% off coupon for Borders and a five dollar "Border's Bucks" in my email yesterday. I'm not sure what the $5 is for...my birthday information, maybe? This time I'm gonna be smart, and bring information from my amazon.com wish list with me. I'm doubting that Borders will have The Andrews Sisters Box Set I've been waffling on for a couple years now, but it's worth looking.

Today's my second fast day. It was going fine until I started thinking about not eating. Now I'm hungry. Time for tea, I guess.

Mel is excited about the tee. I still wonder if they print up two versions of the shirt or do they have people waiting around until after the game before they start the printing.

Borders sent me similar goodness - I'm glad I joined their Borders Rewards club thingy... lots of discounts! The bucks were either something you'd accumulated through past purchases or an introductory bonus for signing up.

Congrats on getting this far with fasting, btw. I can't go two hours.
