Another allergy?

This is weird. I'm going to put it here so I can tag it.

For lunch, I had leftover Egg Foo Yong (one of my favorites). Fifteen minutes later, I had some unpleasant stomach/intestinal issues--which are still present, but not as bad--and now, about half an hour later, my nose is very stuffed up and I've got some incredibly drastic bloating around my stomach. To the point where the waistband of my skirt is very uncomfortable.

How annoying.

I just remember when my mother's gall bladder shot craps, she would complain specifically about bloating, as she would put it "like a beach ball" when she would eat...but it wouldn't happen every time.

...although I suppose that's better than an allergy to eggs.

My first reaction is that (being leftover) it may be less an allergy issue and more of a possible mild food poisoning issue. Hope you feel better. Especially as it is a favorite food, and one that you have been eating on a fairly regular basis, I assume for a fair number of years.

My allergies have a way of coming on--BANG--all of sudden with no warning. Latex, cantaloupe, hair dye...all things I used/ate for years and then one day bad news.

I'm hoping for the food poisoning angle, too...but that doesn't explain the stuffy nose.

*sigh*

I wonder if this might be a bit of food poisoning rather? Chinese food such as fried rice and egg foo yong tend to sit around waiting for reheating and serving before you get them...so it's almost like it's a re-leftover by the time it's your leftover. :)

Well, I didn't get sick when ate it the day I ordered...so I'm not sure. Stupid delicate digestive system!!!
