Helen Mirren's dress, Academy Awards 2008.

I started exercising with Scott Sonnen's Flowfit DVD this morning. I wanted to get through five repetitions of the three-minute cycle, but only made it to four before my wrists started to hurt. Tomorrow I'm going to sub a different move for the one that requires pressure and twisting on my wrists every other cycle. I'll do that until I've built up more strength there. It's a sad, sad comment that my legs were tired and rubbery after such a short workout. I had a rather leisurely walk up the hill this morning. I didn't notice that the workout in the easiest stage offered much in the way of abdominal effort, so I added some ab stuff before stretching out afterwards. Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] adammaker for recommending this DVD when it was available for free.

Today I'm looking forward to getting through my weekly one-day fast without forgetting that I'm supposed to be fasting. Like I did last Monday. *facepalm*

I thought the same thing about Helen Mirren's dress, and also that she's just too damn fantastic. I want to be like her when I grow up. :)

Stunning gown! Classy and classic, without that frumpy aftertaste some of 'em get.

Flowfit rocks my world. Are you doing the whole Flows, or working on individual moves? I really like how he seems so patient and genuine.

I'm doing the whole flow, the level 1 stage, for about 12 minutes (four reps of the three-minute loop on the video).

I know what you mean about Mr. Sonnen. He seems like a super nice guy.
