I arted up a bulletin board for my sewing room that I'm using for an inspiration board--things I'd like to duplicate, incorporate, etc. I stamped silly sayings all around the edge, and one of the things I put was "Create one thing of beauty every day."

Well, I didn't create these cufflinks, but they need to be shared.


I bought them from this seller on etsy. The photo doesn't do them justice. They're stunning, and nearly 7/8ths of an inch in diameter!

sorry but I think its ridiculous to charge 55bucks to glue 2 watch innards to a cufflink.

but maybe I'm bitter becuase my jewelry actually takes TIME and EFFORT and isn't selling like this shit is..............

Well, I figure it would take me an hour (at least) to remove the watch innards, clean them, and attach them to the cuff links. Plus my time (and gas) spent looking for materials, then purchasing the materials...If I charge $20 an hour, plus double the cost of materials (like I would for sewing) $55 doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

Now if I had easy access to all those materials? No, of course I wouldn't pay that. It's like me not paying someone $100 and up for a handmade, embellished skirt. But would I ask that for skirt similar to, say, something someone would find at Anthropologie? Totally.

I'm sorry you think a piece of jewelry I found quite beautiful is "shit."
