Whatta day
Wow, I'm glad this one's almost over. I'm always happy to see five o'clock roll around on Friday afternoons, but this one...whew.
One secretary was scheduled to be out today for a charity drive she's involved with. Another one called in sick. And a third...I don't know. Maybe she left a message on the main line, but I don't have the password for that voicemail box. So it was just me all by my lonesome running the department today.
I deserve something. Something big. Something really nice and relaxing for having to do every damn thing in the office today. Oh, and of course, today they delivered the new phone books. For the first time in ages, I did not annoy everyone by jumping up and yelling "The new phone books are here."
At least it was Stop Day--the day after the last day of class when there is nothing scheduled academic-wise. So it was generally a pretty slow day, but multiply my duties by four. And I didn't get a lunch or any breaks. =(
Reeeeeaaaally ready to go home now. Sigh. Ten more minutes.
