Yesterday's plan to take the day off so I would Feel All Better today was kinda ruined by getting very little (and what I got was very poor) sleep last night. Nngngngg. Thank goodness I took the day off, though, because if I hadn't had 13 hours of sleep Wednesday night, gods know how I'd be feeling today.

Costume=type people who read my LJ: can anyone tell me what is the difference between the chemises in Simplicity 7215, 9764, and 9769? I think I'm going to have to go look at the envelopes in person. I'm browsing for patterns in that era because I decided to go ahead and attend ConQuesT and participate in the Masquerade. If I hear back from the organizers about staffing, that is. Still waiting on that.

9764, and 9769 are a set and the chemise is in 9769, as I recall.

7215 may well be the same chemise. I have all of these, by the way, if you want to look at them.

I thought that one of them was probably just the chemise without the corset pattern...but there must be something different about that other chemise that I can't tell in the line drawing. And I can't get the Simplicity site to let me open up two front/back views at the same time to compare.

I'm definitely purchasing the two I mentioned, so I'll just take a closer look when I go to buy them. I wonder when Simplicity will be on sale at Hancock again...

Well, as the corset in 9769 is reprinted in another 'set', the chemise might actually be the same.

I think they are the same from looking at my copies. Simplicity should be on sale soon, but maybe not soon enough. You could borrow my copies and replace them when there's a sale, since time is of the essence.

Masquerade is usually Saturday night and the party is Friday night so no conflict. If you have quesitons at the Con ask either Jimmy (dead pets store) or Ruth if you can't get me away from Pooch.

I just found out from Jimmy that the dance is from 9:30 to 11:00 on Friday night. Poopers. What's up with that? They're clearing the ballroom for a burlesque show. Which, yay, I guess--I'm all for naked girls--but I'd rather be dancing.
