Photos, finally

It wasn't until I downloaded them this morning that I realized I didn't get any photos of me alone, and no detail photos. Or photos of the back. Well done, me. *golf clap*

This is what I have:

With [livejournal.com profile] jimmy_hollaman.

With [livejournal.com profile] tmseay.

And two with [livejournal.com profile] solan_t in her Mama Gkika-inspired costume.

Unfortunately, the photo of me in the Masquerade at Mid-America Fan Archives looks like I'm wearing a big diaper. The glare from the flash completely washes out the folds of the hiked-up chemise and makes the whole ensemble look very flat and uninteresting.

So maybe some other people will have photos...or maybe I'll have to don it again specifically to get some good shots. When I can find time. And a photographer.

Gorgeous! And you and [livejournal.com profile] solan_t are very complimentary. Was that intentional? :)

It was a complete accident, believe it or not. We were tickled about it, though, and pretty much walked around attached at the hip for the whole evening.

Such a fun costume! I particularly like the sleeve design.

As much as the Masquerade photo is not the most flattering of the skirt drape...the evil look with the guns is fabulous!

Thanks! I really liked the pointy sleeves on the coat, too. They drag the ground, so I have to knot them up when I'm walking around--or else I tend to stand on them. =D

I'll be wearing it as a coverup for when I'm dancing at Smoker, so you'll be able to get a good look at them this fall.

Oh, most excellent!

Ah, those are cute. :)

Thank you!

Love the whole ensemble and you guys look smashing together!

Love the corset over the chemise AND "coat" and the look of the fishnets over the dark tights.

Thank you! I was very happy with all the color combos/contrasts, too. I wanted something sexy that showed hardly any skin--a departure from my usual, you know? =D

I wasn't even supposed to have my arms showing skin, but I forgot the fishnet hose for my arms at home. It was burgundy fishnet that matched the inside lining of the sleeves.

Oooh. I like that idea, sooper sexy sans flesh. ;) It worked!

Worth the wait! And while I love the whole look, the boots really appeal to me for some reason :) :) :).

Those boots were the thing that kicked off (ar ar ar) the whole costume. I LOVE THEM.

They're Doc Martens, would you believe it?

Hurray! Thank you!

That jacket is awesome.

Thank you! It's not the one I had originally envisioned for the outfit, but it's a million times better than the first design. Thank [livejournal.com profile] sdemory for putting me on a better design track.

Out of all of the steampunk costumes I have seen (and I have seen a lot lately), yours really stands out. I seems to me to have a Middle Eastern adventuress feel going rather than the usual Northern European style.

Lurves it. Well done, indeed.
