Bright!
The new dance costume is progressing. Slowly. I didn't work on it hardly at all last night because my eye exam dilated my pupils so much I couldn't focus on anything within three feet or be in a room with enough light to see detail until about 8:30 in the evening. Driving home from the appointment was terrifying. By the time I went to bed, my pupils were still about twice their normal size.
Fetish was happy, though, since I spent an hour and a half snuggled on the couch with her in a dim room. Cat heaven.
But anyway: Costume progress. The bra is covered and the side panels are on. The middle joining panel is going to need some reinforcement, though. I'll make the straps tonight and I'll need to find somebody (looks at![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
roya_spirit) to help with fitting those this weekend. I managed to get the bra cover apart without breaking any more medallions, and was able to re-assemble the chains so they evenly cover a padded C cup bra. It looked like it was originally made for low-line B cup. I did a lot of work to make it look decent (i.e. not skimpy) over the bigger cups.
Oh, also,roya_spirit and I determined that this isn't a Cost Less costume, so I feel less awful for breaking a piece. I'm a little disappointed that I still don't have a real Cost Less (and probably never will), but I still got it at a very good price. We're pretty sure that it's a Mid-East Manufacturing set, and I paid about half price for it--rather than the 25% I thought I was paying for a Cost Less. Also, if I decide I want to add a belly drape or something to it, Mid-East Manufacturing is still making products. In fact, you can buy them on Amazon.com!
If I keep my nose to the grindstone, I can get the belt done this weekend, too. Then on to the skirt and gauntlets.
I've still got a sore throat, although the stomach pain/nausea has subsided. I'd very much like to do a bit of stepping out this evening, but...we'll see how I feel come end of the work day.
