Today I took down all the ephemera on my office wall and door. That was fun with the vertigo issues I'm having (again). I should buckle down and get the rest of this crap in boxes so I can be done with it already. I would love to finish packing up today and take vacation time until the offices were moved, but 1. the Graduate Director returns from vacation tomorrow and we've gotta do some last minute stuff before he exits the position, and 2. I'd just wind up wasting the time off and wishing I had the vacation time later when I had something exciting to do/someplace exciting to go.

I asked our HR secretary who is in charge of the moving project if I could choose a color for my office since everything's getting repainted and re-carpeted while we're ~~banished~~ temporarily located to the second floor. "You do not get to have a red office," she told me. Ah, my co-workers know me well.

And now I should probably climb up onto my filing cabinets to take down my string lights and Chinese lantern. That means I'll have to use the florescent lighting until I'm located in the new office. Gross.
