My head weighs twenty pounds
1. I don't know if it's the weather, the office move, or a combination, but my sinuses are in full revolt. My head feels about as heavy and dense as an anvil and my face hurts all the way down to my jaw. Still gotta be at work today, though, because tomorrow is my meeting with KU Housing about the Campbell Conference dorm reservations...and I'm still getting reservation information. Our deadline for this was two god damned weeks ago, but please ignore that fact. Everybody else did. People are dumb.
2. If I had the wall space, I would purchase this map, by Slave Labor Graphics (link thanks to Coilhouse).
3. Yesterday, all my Google bookmarks stopped working. When I clicked on the item I've had bookmarked for ages, instead of taking me to the website, it went to:
http://www.google.com/bookmarks/url?url=http://www.bhaktivanayoga.com/&ct=b
instead of:
http://www.bhaktivanayoga.com
They all work fine today. WTF?
4. I'm still exercising (not this morning) but haven't lost any more weight on the wheat-free eating plan. I bet I'd be making better progress towards that 26" waist if I stopped eating Doritos for dinner twice a week. What do you think? Possibly? I have to say, though, the Spicy Sweet Chili flavor is pretty tasty. The new "Mystery Flavor" is really damn good, too. This is one of the wonderful things about being an adult without children. I probably shouldn't eat Doritos for dinner, but you know what? I sure enjoy it when I do.
5. Personal responsibility is important to me. I don't exactly demand it in my friends, but I do lose respect for people who constantly place blame for their problems/issues/failures on other people. Today's Zen Habits has some good words on this topic. Remember friends, it's not just preventing forest fires that's up to you. Own your actions and deal with the results of the actions of others. Someone else cannot have an effect on your life unless you allow them to*. Make your own happiness.
*Obviously this does not extend to legislators, bosses, etc., who do affect your life. You know what I mean. Stop blaming your unhappiness on other people. That's the domain of junior-high and extended-adolescent Emo Kids.
6.For
stuology, today's xkcd. Dang. Somebody beat me to it.
7. I miss cookies and pizza. A lot.
8. I had hoped to make it to ten, but I can't think of anything else and I need to get a lot of stuff done today.

And I wonder why I'm not losing weight, even going to the gym four times a week. :P

I might even be able to send some back for you if you know of anyone coming to KC from Lawrence sometime soon.

I'm generally not into substitute foods. I know from previous experience I don't like any of the healthy cookies I've tried--well, any store-bought cookies now that I think about it. The texture is always...wrong somehow.

Is it just wheat flour you are cutting out, or all sources of gluten?

btw, I was introduced to a very nice New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc called
Cats Phee on a Gooseberry Bush (http://www.cooperscreek.co.nz/white_wine/info.php?wineid=17)! Cute, eh?
