Swell

Thanks to all for the kind words and well-wishing. I appreciate them.

I felt better when I went to bed last night, and getting up this morning wasn't wretched, but now I'm feeling weird. My throat doesn't hurt as bad, but I've got chills again, and a bit of dizziness. Also, my stomach feels nervous, like butterflies. My glands are still swollen to the extent that the swelling is noticeable when you look at my neck--which is still sore to the touch.

My appetite is non-existent this morning, which sucks because I have a beautiful breakfast of blackberries (on sale at Checkers last night, fifty cents each for the tiny little clamshell packages!) and full-fat Brown Cow yogurt. There's no point in eating something delightful when I'm feeling ambivalent about food.

I cut off my side locks yesterday. They're short and curly now--just barely jaw length if I pull them straight down. They look very mod. I might go a little shorter (or thin them a bit) since the one on the right has a natural curl in exactly the wrong direction at this length--straight out to the side. I manhandled it into submission with a curling iron and some product, but one of the reasons I cut the length off was I got bored with styling them every morning.

Ow. It hurts to yawn. Or burp. For those of you who know me...yeah. That's like half my waking life.

Much sympathy, honey. I'm glad you were able to not-go to Smoker this weekend and not-push a bit. I hope the rest of whatever it is goes gently with you.

Thanks. Yes, I don't like to push my body when its not feeling well. Doing so seems unfair. It works so hard for me all the other times when I push it! =)

Glad you are feeling better. It's about time.

The question is, though, are the blackberries any good? I haven't had any grocery-store blackberries that were worth squat. :( And the local ones this year were *cries* JUST LIKE THEM. Even the ones off my parents' bramble. So disappointed.

Hm. I don't know if they're any good. I haven't tried them yet. IMO, Brown Cow full-fat yogurt helps make anything tasty, though!

It sounds exactly like the plague that I suffered from, which turned out to be strep.

Oh yay. *sigh*

Picture, please!

I'm sending you healing thoughts!

Thanks! I'll see about getting a photo. Right now I'm sick to tears of having my picture taken, but for you, darling, anything!

Oh no! Not the 'burns! (Or locks, if you'd rather.)

I love sideburns.

3,000 Miles to Graceland... not a good movie. But a great SIDEBURN movie!

Don't worry, my sideburns (the hair that actually grows down the side of my face, like a guy's) are still there. I'd have to shave daily if I wanted to get rid of them. No thanks.

I was referring more to the locks, I suppose. Just like I call any and all types of cold-weather headgear "snow hats."

I'm just a fan of side-of-head hair. Ever since I first grew my own sideburns at the age of 15, earning me the nicknames of "Elvis" and - you'll never guess - "Sideburns."

I'd never seen a female rock the 'locks like you did. :)

My other half - who confesses to wanting to snip said locks whenever she sees you - might be happier, though. She says "Hi!", btw. I need to bring her back there with me sometime...
