Happy New Year!
Hope everyone has a great 2004. I was going to do a phone post yesterday, but I didn't really know what to say. And you know everyone hates the sound of their own voice when it's recorded.
We've spent a few hours playing around on URU yesterday and today and we're stuck on one stupid puzzle. I'm voting for trying a different age because right now we're just banging our heads against a stone wall. Literally. Anyone else playing this yet? If you go here, we're stuck in the room that's pictured on the top row, last (third) photo. Sigh. Thought we had it figured out but the damn door still doesn't open.
UPDATE: We had to get a hint for that room but I don't feel badly about it. It was a *very* poorly designed puzzle. It's too bad that Robyn and Rand (the creators of Myst) weren't involved in the writing of this game. The puzzles are very different and not as well designed. Also, the ages/worlds just aren't as interesting--at least the five we've seen so far. =(
