Budgeting
I went through the last twelve months of credit card statements to figure what I spend on groceries per month. I had a guess, and I was curious how accurate I was. I guessed within less than five dollars of the actual average total. Yay me for having a good sense of how much I was spending at the grocery stores.
What I didn't have a good grasp on was how much I was spending on frivolous stuff like restaurants, craft stuff, and fabric. Wow. Too much.
Hancock's purchases are necessary, because I can't use the fabric I already have without zippers, thread, interfacing, etc., and that stuff runs out faster than the fabric stash. But do I really need anything else from Michael's? No. I'm also going to limit my restaurant spending to twice-a-month-treats. This does not include my alcohol bill, mind you. I'll still go out for the drinkies more than occasionally because that's a keystone to my happiness and sanity--but I'm going to pay with cash now. And I'm going to avoid ordering food with the booze. That'll make me a cheaper drunk, anyway, so everybody wins.
And for the love of god, I am not splurging on any more make-up binges until 2010. Seriously. Jesus Christ.

I want more of that sort of thing in my life this coming year.
Also, Les Bourgeois wine is cheap at my Mo-side Sunfresh supermarket. I Need More of That.

Cheaper definitely, but I do like having someone else make my drinks and being loud and happy in public. So best occasionally, but not always. I like being served from time to time.

And wine can be a neccessity of life :).

My habit of going out for drinks kinda died when I returned to school a few years ago.

Is. Wine is a necessity.

I have been spending cash on all these extras and I'm sure I should have been socking it away.
I've got another avon order coming tomorrow. I think I at least bought ONE Christmas present.

xNTx : that's me to the core!
MBTI (extended test) had me split 50/50 on the first and last positions:
* Extraversion or Introversion E or I
* Sensing or Intuition S or N
* Thinking or Feeling T or F
* Judging or Perceiving J or P

I only buy notions and such now, too, since I still have about half-a-frakkin-craft-store in my garage. At least this way, you can revel in how much beautiful and useful stuff is coming out of the shrinking pile of craft and fabric supplies. :D

Only, like, I don't know where on Earth they find their prices.
