Day four of something happy

Morning coffee every day at work. Buying the little 2-serving coffeemaker to make my own coffee here in the mornings was such a good idea. Paying a buck a day for coffee refills at the downstairs cafeteria = Not Frugal. Besides, their coffee = Not That Great.

From [livejournal.com profile] chronovore is this short YouTube clip, which possibly ranks in the top ten funniest things I've ever seen in my life. The only thing that would make it better is if they hadn't included the laugh track. Come on people. Number one rule of funny: Don't Laugh At Your Own Jokes.

Second, a mouse that will keel you *ded*:

Want something to make your head explode? Click here for work-safe head explosives. It depends on your personal feelings about firearms as to whether your head will explode from hysterical laughter or horror.

Recently, I bought a 3-CD Sinatra collection at Half-Price books. I can see why it was so cheap. The recordings are thin and poorly produced, the instrumentation is uninspired, and several of the songs have wretchedly cheesy 50s era "jazzy" choral backups. Gross. I was excited about the collection because it includes lots of showtune standards, including a bunch of Cole Porter. Alas, even Porter's melodies and lyrics can't make this CD worth it for me. It's headed to Lovegarden unless somebody around here wants it.

I outed myself on [livejournal.com profile] slinka's LJ, so I might as well tell the rest of the world here: I'm growing out my hair. Again. This time I think I'm gonna make it, though. I haven't had a haircut since August. My hair looks like ass. My hair right now is not something that makes me happy. But at least it's not falling out in clumps anymore. That's nice, I suppose.

That rocked. So happy now!

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
That rocked.

The Mutal of Omaha, the mouse, or the AK?

[identity profile] cskippy2000.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
The mouse was cool, but prince in the wilds of Africa was BRILLIANT.

Any idea where I can get the barbie grenade launcher attachment?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Notice the lack of Barbie there. I'm sure that's the only reason that website hasn't been shut down yet. You know, considering Mattel's feelings about anybody coming to within 100 yards of Barbie's "intellectual" property. (http://mckitterick.livejournal.com/553872.html)

That Glamguns is FUNNY! I might even get one of the buttons or T's on cafepress.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
That Glamguns is FUNNY!

I about peed. If the handcuffs were Hello Kitty instead of Paris Hilton...oh, man.

Edit: Of course, given some spray paint and a cheap pair of cuffs, I could just, you know, make my own.

Or some stickers!
They do make those pink ones.
Hee.

[identity profile] mckitterick.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Can you really buy that stuff? It seemst to me to be an art site. In fact, I noticed that clicking the cart takes you to an Amazon book about art....

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's a spoof product site. But FUNNY! They'd get their asses sued to heaven if they tried to actually sell those things.
ext_3038: Red Panda with the captain "Oh Hai!" (hot fuzz)

[identity profile] triadruid.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 05:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Which makes me a sad panda. Don't they know about the right to arm bears?

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
But if you follow the cafepress link at left, you can buy the artist's T's and other stuff.

Hair

[identity profile] sdemory.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
YES. THAT. PIXPLZKTHNXBAI.

Must say, I do like you with longer hair. I look forward to seeing the end result.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I look forward to seeing the end result.

Oh dear god, so do I. So do I.

In the meantime, I shall offend everyone's sensibilities with hair update photos. Coming soon!

off to find "Sucking-Chest-Wound Bear"

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
The fact that they've slid under Disney's radar is surprising. I noted to [livejournal.com profile] cskippy2000 that not pissing off Mattel right now is a good idea. But the Disney avoidance is impressive.

I can't possibly approach the cleverness of the rest of your post -- still reeling from the kyoot Jayhawk bunz from yesterday -- but I agree: The 2-serving coffeemaker is a Thing of Beauty. I have one at home (with a timer thingie!) and it's Just Right for the amount of caffeine I actually consume. Yay!

I probably shouldn't mention that I am often tempted (and often succumb) to making two pots in the morning. And once in a great while, I make a pot in the afternoon as well.

I like coffee. A lot.

Hot and fresh and at my fingertips.

[identity profile] saffronhare.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
(just give me a minute with that little thought, will you?)

But seriously, but I bet you drink all you make. Me, I'd make a full eight-cup carafe and then not be able to finish but a cup or two of it. WASTE puts my Scottish knickers in a twist. (Also, more than ~100 mg caffeine/day makes my heart go all pitter-patter in a regrettable way.)

[identity profile] nottygypsy.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow this is all of it full of awesome funny!

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Best. Compliment. EVAR.

(and *psst* I wasn't even trying. Woot!)

[identity profile] apocalypticbob.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 07:20 pm (UTC)(link)
*has sneaking suspicion that mouse may be smarter than her*

The Prince thing was laugh out loud funnny.

Thanks for sharing!

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
ooh, I just thought.. some hair doodads like flower clips or pretty (not childlike) barrettes might help. I used tiny combs in mine when it was growing out.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, hon. I am rocking the barrettes, let me tell you.

flower clips or pretty (not childlike)

*shifty eyes*

*hides the Hello Kitty barrettes*

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)

Hello Kitty gets a pass cos she's too cool for school.

I admit to glittery ones myself.

Is it funnier than this?

HA! I've seen that one before. Different sort of funny. I think I like the Mutal of Omaha spoof better, though. More subtle.
