Hit and miss

We got to look at the newly remodeled third-floor offices today. The paint color is okay, but the carpeting is hideous. Boo. I'm seriously considering bringing in one of my rugs from home so at least part of it will be covered up. Serious fug, man. Since we shouldn't have to move out of these offices (unless they decide to just raze the damn building after all in a few years), I think I might take a cue from radcliffe by going all out with the decor. I'll certainly be bringing in more indirect lighting because I am so tired of overhead fluorescent lights. Yuck.

My beloved endocrinologist is retiring in April. My (annual) appointment with him wasn't until August. The office staff squeezed me into his schedule for a February appointment so I can see him once more before he leaves--and hopefully he'll be able to refer me to someone else. I do not want to go back to relying on a General Practitioner to monitor my thyroid levels. Bah.

I'll end on a hit: I'm wearing a felt reindeer antler headband today. With bells on it. It's adorable and I'm going to wear it every day for the rest of the week until finals are over.

Rugs rugs rugs! Shelf paper is great for metal cabinets, and fabric pins nicely to walls and cubicle walls. I have a shoji lamp for nice light, and oh does it make a difference!

I have asked family for a new camera, and promised pictures of my desk in exchange!
