Last year my New Year's Resolution was: Drink More. Specifically, Drink More Booze. That worked out pretty well, and I was able to stick to it with minimal difficulty.



This year, I resolve to Sparkle More. I have so many necklaces, bracelets, and earrings that never even see the light of day, much less get worn regularly. So for 2009, I resolve to Wear Jewelry More Often. Every day except for the occasional schlubby weekend: a necklace, earrings, and (if not too impractical) a bracelet.

Genital piercings kind of gross me out, and I think nipples with rings look like pierced pig snouts. (edit: Fine on other people, just not on me, thanks)

I have a tongue stud, but I got that more for utilitarian than decorative purposes. I'm not much on hidden pretties like fancy underwear. Most of my underwear is pretty damn boring, really, and that's the way I like it. Lace makes me itch.

No, I want my sparkle where people can see it! I'm not much of an internal person when it comes down to it.

As far as genital piercings go, I think it should depend on the genitals. Some folks just shouldn't, you know? I'd never do it, mostly because what I do to my body now has to work for me when I'm old, and if I got a prince Albert or something, it might not work out so great when I'm seventy. And there's another thing. I've encountered hidden piercings before and they just seem to get in the way of the bidniss at hand, so to speak.

Never worn fancy underwear myself. By all rights they shouldn't stay on long anyway. I mean, in a perfect world.

I think if you don't wear underwear, always wear loose clothing, and bathe at least once a day, genital piercings can be fine. I fit into none of those categories.

This is a great resolution. I got some nice pieces for Christmas I am trying to remember to wear. Last night I remember thinking, Damn, forgot my earrings.

Yeah, I'm not doing great so far. I even forgot to put in my damn nose ring after I washed my face this morning. Chalk it up to still being a leetle hung over.

You forgot: Enjoyable and Likely To Happen Most Of The Time. Crucial elements of a resolution, IMO.
