Bookmarks

I'm getting a new computer at work. Which is kind of Yay and kind of Yipes at the same time. My experience with the tech support here has not been especially stellar during my time in English, but this new guy they've got helping us is pretty on the ball. So I'm moderately optimistic instead of being outright terrified.

My question is: If I've bookmarked something using the Google toolbar, are those bookmarks saved in my Google profile? Or do I need to do some sort of backup on them. Because I've lost my bookmarks so many times thanks to tech snafus here. I don't want it to happen again.

Thanks for any info!

Yes.
I save things in my Google toolbar bookmark for precisely that task.
I can open them on the road on a borrowed computer.

Google is stopping development on Notebook and not allowing new users.

...What does that mean? Sorry. I quit paying attention to stuff like this when I quit the computer center job.

Notebook: I went out and read more last night. They are allowing current users to keep using, but encouraging people to use one of their other products instead.

It sounds like they are keeping Notebook running, but who knows if they will decide to just shut it down. I would assume though that Google would be nice enough to give everybody an opportunity to export Notebook data somewhere else--like to Google Docs.
