Lessons

Today's entry in the Photo Experiment was a good lesson of what not to do. In general: no more photos at the office. The lighting in here requires a flash in order to get a non-blurry shot. And you can see for yourself what happens to me when I use a flash. Alas, my Photoshop skills are not sufficient to the task of making me look human. Or at least less like an exhibit at Madame Tussaud's. We'll call this one an example of what not to do and remember to get outside shots from now on. Or wait until I get home from work.

Other lessons:

Freixenet Carta Nevada Brut makes very fine mimosas. We've decided to keep a few bottles of sparkling wine on hand, because it was just too much fun--and no more expensive than the wines we purchase for the *cough* "cellar." Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] shrijani for recommending Freixenet to me way way long ago.

It might not be possible to eat my weight in ice cream during one three-day weekend, but given the right environment, I can certainly give it my best shot. My birthday had temperatures in the high sixties. How could I not celebrate that unusual circumstance with my good friends Ben and Jerry?
