Returned

I felt great on Saturday. Great! I was very productive and active, despite my lack of sleep. By the time I finally crawled into bed, I'd been up for twenty hours with no nap. I had a fantastic Saturday evening and stayed out (and energetic!) for much longer than I dreamed I would. Yay!

Sunday, though. Ooof. Sunday I woke up with a wretched throbbing headache, but at least no dizziness. The headache diminished a bit after I sat in one of those Homedics massage chairs for about twenty minutes at Bed, Bath & Beyond. That was great. I never did get to the point where I felt good, though, or even halfway decent/normal.

When I went to lie down in bed, I reached for my eye-cover because I was starting to get light-sensitive. The blinders weren't on my bedside table, so I leaned over the bed to pick them up off the floor. When I came back up, the room spun and the dizziness was back full force.

It's still here this morning.

The sinus headache was caused by the big weather change. I don't know what brought back the dizziness with such a vengeance. The only reason I came to work today was I knew we were already down one secretary who is out today and tomorrow with family issue stuff.

Boo.

Not to be nosey, but do you think your dizziness could be anxiety related? I get dizzy spells sometimes because of that. It took me a while to figure that out. Once I fixed what was wrong, they went away, thank goodness.

Nah. I only get dizzy/motion-sick when I've moved my head in particular way. I know which actions usually trigger it--but this was a new one.

Be very careful! Vertigo is just vicious. Sometimes I had to walk barefoot with my eyes shut because the input from my eyes was so wrong. You can trust the info from your feet.

Hope it clears up.

What I call my vertigo isn't standard vertigo, luckily. I don't lose proprioception, I'm just motion-sick all the time.

I should find a different word than "luckily," though.

One of these days, when a long-lost rich relative dies and leaves me gobs of money, I'm buying one of these motherfuckers (http://www.shop.com/Massage_Chair_Massagenius_988_Zero_Gravity_Shiatsu_Recliner_Massage_Chair-38720263-p!.shtml).

Whoah indeed.

Sorry you're still suffering. Maybe one of those massagers would be at least temporarily palliative.

Trying to talk yourself into a purchase? ;) I'm happy to provide the incentive if you need it.

FARK! Thas nice.

I have a Tahrjhay Zero-Gravity knock-off lawn chair that I love.. I wonder if that and a Homedics might make a Poor Gals One-Of-Those-Above thingies?

Have you noticed at other points when the vertigo has been bad that you've had sinus issues either during or right before the episode?

D.

No, not at all.

I know I trigger the motion-sick issues by what I do myself (physical actions). The sinus migraines are all environment-caused. I suppose you could say I trigger the sinus migraines by continuing to live in the Midwest, but that's splitting hairs. =)
