Insomnia
OK, this kind of sucks. Woke up a little after 3:00 a.m. Still can't fall asleep (it's 5:15 as I start this post) even though I'm very, very weary. I'm drinking some Bedtime Yogi tea in the hopes that I can get a couple more hours of sleep this morning. I hate the idea of being so zombie-fied I miss a day of productivity.
I didn't get the second set of curtains made yesterday because I got distracted by the kitchen. It started when I noticed a couple ants on the counter between the fridge and sink, so I removed everything in that area and scrubbed it down. And kept going. I wiped down all the counter-tops and cabinets (shelves and fronts), moved the liquor cabinet to a less heat-intensive shelf, cleaned the oven, and scrubbed the floor on my hands and knees. Oh, and laundered the throw rugs. That kitchen damn well sparkles now.
My hair looks pretty good, too. My stylist cut off exactly what I wanted, and did just the slightest of slight trims all over to eliminate any split ends. I got two compliments (from other stylists) walking out of the salon. Yay for natural waves!
Hefner Hammie is very active at this time of morning. It sounds like he's trying to dig his way out of his (plastic) nest area. Weirdo.
On a normal day, I would be getting up in thirty minutes to exercise. Well, that's not happening today. With any luck, I'll be falling asleep (again) about that time.
