Chill
After four days of careful eating, I stepped on the scale for the first time since my two-day fling with carbs. I'm still up six pounds. Six. Pounds. Informative, no? Time to dig out the water pills.
I'm ditching some LJ icons that don't look much like me anymore. Super short hair, some nearly five years old, and many I rarely use anyway. I've only uploaded 107 out of the 198 icons I'm allowed, but really, who needs that many icons? I prefer to use icons that people immediately recognize as belonging to me, even if they aren't recognizable as me, myself.
This afternoon I have a meeting with the student housing department to discuss our final numbers for the CSSF summer workshops stuff. One of the things I love about doing this is the participants get their correct dates of arrival and departure to me early, and always by the May deadline. By this I mean there are some people who just yesterday informed me of their intent to stay in the dorms. Nice. People suck. And yes, I did count to ten before I typed that. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10? Yep, people still suck.
My office is freezing, and the whole building is bitterly cold. Everybody has their sweaters on today, which means I'm wearing a sweater, scarf, hat, fingerless mitts, and a lap blanket. And I'm still cold.
In yesterday's post,
miichelle brought up a good point about the disparities in my self-control with exercise vs. food. Realizing that I approach these two things from such different perspectives will help my efforts toward controlling what I eat (and don't eat). Thanks, M!
Speaking of yesterday, yesterday was one of the few days this year I thought my hair looked really good.


I'm glad I didn't have to cover it up with a hat like I'm doing today. Because yes: Vain!
