Spendthrift

These two free days off work have been awesome. It's amazing how much money I can spend when I don't have to be in the office.

Yesterday I decided it was bullshit that [livejournal.com profile] mckitterick got a FreeNet account so we could check email from home, but the current (ancient) laptop I've been using doesn't have a strong enough wireless adapter to pick up the signal. So I went to Best Buy and bought one of these. Since it was a floor model, they had to do a wipe and re-install, so I don't have it yet. No, right now I'm back in my sweltering office because there are people sleeping at the house and I can't really do anything there. Oh, irony, yes?

Today I have errands to run in KC (one of which includes a return visit to the laser hair-removal place finally), but will be back for a treat lunch.

I am bleeding money like a fool. It's something I do very rarely and I feel so naughty about it.

Finally, Diet Snapple? Is some nasty-ass shit. Ugh. How do people drink this? My dad drinks it by the case. eeeeeeeeeek. So sweet it's almost bitter. And I have a sweet tooth. o_O

Mini - flippin' adorable.
Diet Snapple - disgusting.
Bleeding money - welcome to my life! It's payday!

New computers are practically better than witnessing an eclipse. Almost better than baby kittens. Almost better than two days out of the office. Why can't I think of something that new computers are exactly as awesome as?

New computers are in a class by themselves, I think.

Baaaaby kittens!!!! Eeee!

new computer.... very cute!

ug, swelter bad!
You could jump onto any of the computers in the depths of a KU library... your sign on works there too... and AC!

I don;t know what shifted in my palate, but almost every last artificial sweetener makes me want to hurl.
It is like my back brain is shouting, "Bad Food! Not Food! Don't Eat!"

Yeah, I could've used a library computer, true. But the library wasn't open at 6:45 a.m. =D

I don't know how that Snapple stuff sells. I use Splenda in my coffee regularly, but this was...was just foul.

Summer can be horrendously expensive for me if I don't watch out. I also bought a new laptop from Best Buy just last week.

Online shopping kills me. It is so easy to click and buy. Going out gets expensive, too.

The public library has helped me tremendously with my book and movie habit. I have probably saved hundreds of dollars by going there pretty regularly.

I'm really good with being a penny-pincher, so it's not so bad. I had plenty of wiggle room in the checkbook. It's just a little startling to see all those receipts piled together!

Diet Snapple tastes absolutely TOXIC to me.

How does this stuff sell??? I don't get it. And my dad drinks it by the case!!! He left one bottle undrunk here after their visit. Ugh. Never again. If he leaves leftovers next time, they're going in the trash.
