Next time, eat before going to the buffet

Fasting on Friday + Very little food and some booze on Saturday + First meal of high fat and spicy Chinese food Sunday = Not a Happy Tum. I had stomach issues all afternoon, then last night I swear I was running a fever. This morning, my stomach felt like it had delayed onset muscle soreness, my joints ached, and even my skin was sore to the touch. I called in sick, went back to bed, and didn't wake up until 9:45. Oof.

Lots of tea and water on the menu today, and very little else.

But I never feel so bad that I can't talk about wine. Check out this Hello Kitty wine that [livejournal.com profile] bart_calendar mentioned. I would very much like a bottle of the Pinot Noir for display purposes, please.

Update: Now I'm at work because I freaked out when I called up here for something and nobody answered their phones. I forgot one of the secretaries is on vacation. The other one and the front desk person were just busy or something. So I'm here. Yay.

Ugh, on the food issues. I've pretty much given up on buffets since we can never know what's in the food. Sadness. I'm with you on that.

Hello Kitty wine? I can't laugh at it, as I've had all the Elvis wines (and they were pretty decent).
Someone doesn't know jack about wines tho' if they think it's the only cat-themed wine, but I'll not nitpick today.

Pink bubbly is the right kind of wine for Hello Kitty, LOL.

For me, I don't think it was what was in the food, it was just poor timing/meal planning. Next time I'm having a bowl of oatmeal or something when I wake up instead of limping along on a pot of coffee until [livejournal.com profile] mckitterick wakes up.

As in "too much at once" rather than spaced out meals?

Yah, I've been bad for that over the weekends lately too.
Or not eating at night and then waking up STARVING but not wanting to fix something Right This Minute.

Yup. Also, drinking on an empty stomach the night before. All around really piss-poor eating decisions. =(

Yah, getting just the right amount to eat before drinking without killing the buzz so touchy!

Sorry to hear you are under the weather today also!

I can definitely empathize with the issue of breaking fast with too many spicy/rich foods, and having, er, issues.

And you went into work just because no one answered the phones? Wow, that's dedication. Or something.

[livejournal.com profile] mckitterick will vouch for the fact that I have a way over-active work ethic.

That comment paired with that icon made me giggle--with wondering what it is that you're doing at work! ;D

I probably would have gone into work, too. What's WRONG with us? Sense of responsibility can be a curse!

I went home after a couple hours and went back to bed. I felt terrible. I think this is some sort of stomach bug, not just my belly rebelling against Sunday's lunch.

I hope ...

today finds you feeling better.
