This video could change your life

This video needs to be shared with as many people as possible. Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] shrijani for making the world a better place.

If you didn't watch that, you are missing out on the opportunity of a lifetime, that's all I'm saying.

ach befok, that is funny.
I think I want a prehensile tail now.

I want a prehensile tail now

Who wouldn't?

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)

This is a very well-meaning opossum massage, but I'm concerned.
Why, she got the chakras backwards!
Wouldn't that tend to reverse the poor creature's entire polarity? It could be very harmful to misinform the public about the opossum chakras, and think of the opossum babies!

I simply cannot condone irresponsible opossum energy balancing.

Maybe she's subscribing to the theory that they often hang upside down by their tails?

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)

Opossums are very odd creatures. It's quite possible that they are reverse-engineered in the chakra dept.

I could be wrong, I must google this immediately!

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a crucial issue. I'm glad you're approaching it with the seriousness it deserves.

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)

Of course. And I simply must learn her proper technique for brushing the opossum aura.
I'm pretty sure I've been doing that wrong.
I also don't shake my head when shaking off the stress. No wonder I'm having trouble with this.

[identity profile] radiantmephit.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
That poor possum looks so bored and put upon. Alarmed only slightly by her freaky shaking out the stress technique.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
That poor possum looks so bored and put upon.

Well, to be fair, the only time I've seen a possum not look bored and put upon is when he's angry and cornered. They look bored and put upon even when they're dead.

Poor things.

[identity profile] radiantmephit.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Bwaa ha ha! Excellent point! When have I ever experienced a possum that wasn't angry, cornered or dead? I never thought of it that way.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I attended some outdoor-in-the-park thing several years ago (I know, I know--I led a different life then) and there was a woman representing the local wildlife rescue organization who had in a cat carrier her retarded possum. It was brought to them when it was a baby (probably abandoned as unfit for living by its mom), so she took it home to keep it as a pet.

It. Was. Adorable.

I've had a soft spot for possums ever since.

[identity profile] femfataleatron.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Kelly and I fond some possum babies and a seriously dead mother. they were extra cute , but after looking into what their care required we called a rescue org. If we had seen this video we might well have changed our minds. I could have manipulated their Qi, based on this technology, into something that might have allowed me to become a low level supervillian (more-so than I already am).

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank god I didn't post this video in time. The idea of you with Extra-Possum-Supervillian powers, backed by your Evil-Possums-of-Awesome army is too terrifying a thing for me to contemplate.

[identity profile] femfataleatron.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
isn't the Awesome 'Possumâ„¢ an appetizer for some Aussie steak restaurant?

[identity profile] radiantmephit.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Awww. That is too cute. Did you see the video of the kitten missing its two front legs that a lady in Kansas recently adopted? Who are these amazing human beings with the handicapped pets? WHO ARE THEY?

[identity profile] auroraceleste.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I love the look on that opossum's face. It perfectly says "this is your fault, it's you idiots watching this video that keep her doing this shit."

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish I could tell it that the existence of this video makes the world a better place.

[identity profile] miischelle.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Holy shit, that's even better than the cat massage video.

Lydia, do you think if I came over, flipped you on your back, waved my hand above your belly and chanted "Sun, Moon" it would aide in your digestion and elmination?

We should totally try that next time we see each other. Perhaps we could incorporate that into a choreography sometime.

This is AWESOME!

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I KNOW! =D

Hee!

[identity profile] the-themiscyran.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
My favorite part is the opossum's wink to the camera right after the woman says "Let's just enjoy our relaxed opossum."

Thank you for posting this. I do indeed feel that the world is a better place after viewing it. :)

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay! You're welcome!

I have no words... other than laughter. A lot of laughter.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-30 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay for laughter!

[identity profile] cmt2779.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Aww, I felt bad for the possum. At the end, when the lady says, "Doesn't she look relaxed?" I just thought the poor thing looked defeated. Just couldn't get away from the crazy lady.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-30 01:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha! See my comment to [livejournal.com profile] radiantmephit, above. I don't know that the expression is any different from Standard Opossum.

[identity profile] royal-spice.livejournal.com 2010-07-30 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
I have a feeling that a transcript of this would be even funnier.

That poor, poor possum. I hope it eats her.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-30 01:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Considering what possums have to go through in the wild, I'd say this one's living pretty good, even with the crazy lady owner.

[identity profile] jimmy-hollaman.livejournal.com 2010-07-30 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherri Dean (we both work with Yard Dog Press) took and made up a charactor called Possum Luv. While she likes the creatures, she does not like them that much. :)

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-07-30 01:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Please forward this video to Sherri. I'm sure she'd approve.
