Week in the Life Day Six

See here for the rules.

I blew it Monday. Forgot to bring my camera to yoga class, and only got four photos for the day. Boo.

Day Six Pic Two

Day Six Pic Three

Is that chicken with zucchini breakfast?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2010-08-17 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup. I dry-sauteed the zucchini so it browned quickly, then threw in the chicken with a teeny dab of bacon grease. Topped it with Mural of Flavor. Yum!

Heh, I like that Grandma Layton's work is above the cabinet warning sign that says "Don't Do It"!

I like that I can look at her all day. I should also get a picture of my office mirror with the "Privacy--It's Your Right" postcard.

Is that what the "censored" artwork is there? I can't tell what it depicts, and the Flickr is low-resolution on the photo's devoted page.

Yep, that's "Censored" by Elizabeth Layton (http://elizabethlayton.com/drawings/drawingshtml/dr_censored.htm). Mine's a lithograph, not the original, so mine's in black and white.

It's the first piece of art I ever invested in! $250 in 1990. =D

I still think Wescoe looks pretty cool, once you get used to it.

Is it that you think it looks cool, or that you were lulled into a sort of Stockholm Syndrome thing?

Y'know, this photo really shows the 1970s Modern thing it has going on.

Whenever I have college dreams, it is either the typical needing to take a final in a class I never went to because I didn't know I was enrolled or it is about me getting stuck in Wescoe.

With the additions, students now have added opportunities for getting lost here. As if it wasn't enough of a rat maze...

To me, the Wescoe Hall hallway shot looks like a jail -- with windows to peek in at the prisoners.

It's not quite as bad as a jail, IMO, but it is rather Escher-esque with a side of Totalitarian.
