Yesterday was Carl Sagan Day. I didn't find out about that until I read LJ this morning. Since I'm going out with science-minded people today, I'm going to consider today Carl Sagan Day, observed.

Being so close to Cornell, there are lots of Sagan-oriented events around here. adammaker and I went to a lecture on Sagan's development of Cosmos, and later life, a few months ago, given by a local college dean at a library. It was pretty cool.
