Energy dink
Today is going to be another Party Day! And by Party I mean Be So Busy That Eight Hours Goes By Like Two. Wooo! So, briefly:
I am back on the Scott Sonnon team because he very graciously rewrote the offensive lines in his ad copy for TACFIT. Woot woot!
Today he posted techniques for goal-setting that are super helpful for those of us (and by Us I mean Me) who suck at setting goals for ourselves. A lot of these can be used for things other than fitness, too.
One of the things I thought about while reading through this list is: Where is my energy going? Where I am putting the effort that I could be spending making myself a more fit person, physically and mentally? Where is my energy on an average day right now? So I divvied things up and got:
7/24: Applications processing
2/24: Other work stuff (current student issues, dealing with faculty stuff and the occasional brief visit to LJ and personal email)
2/24: Cooking, eating, post-meal clean-up
8/24: Sleeping (not terribly well, alas)
2/24: Self-care (showering, dressing, laughably minimal exercise)
1/24: Home-care (laundry, recycling, house-cleaning, grocery shopping)
2/24: Everything else (finishing xmas gifts, spending time with
mckitterick, lying in a stupor on the couch with a bottle of wine)
How are you using the hours in your day?
