New layout

Playing around with layout options. I like that this style shows the different icons with each entry (I figured out how to get the Component style, _mac_ so no worries). I don't know that I like the color distribution, though. And I really don't like the edit and memory buttons beside each entry, but I'm too lame to figure out how to remove them.

Hmmm. I printed out my old journal options, though, so if the little things start to annoy me too much, I'll go back to the old style.

Opinions? Does it look ok on other monitors?

The colors choices make it rather hard for me to read.

Can you read the black on red? Or is it the links you can't see well? For me, it's the links.

I agree with Kerri. I think red is a little dark as a background for black letters. The links show up just find, IMO.

Yeah... seems like every time I try out some newly discovered feature I end up changing it back or changing something else.

OK. I just changed it so the comments page is the LJ basic format. Seemed like an easy, if not terribly aesthetic, fix.

I like it! The colors do seem just a little askew, but I think in a good way.

To remove memory/edit buttons try Manage -> Customize -> Edit Customizations button -> Presentation tab -> under the Enable Entry Icons header select Override Default and then select NO.

Well, I find the black on red to be harder to read. However, I like the formatting.

I have not been diligent enough to try to customize my LJ. I am curious how to do so, but without someone to guide me through the process, I will stick to the standard LJ styles.

Actually, I rarely if ever read someone's actual journal, only my friends list. So, all your hard work is wasted on me. :)
