Lazy Saturday

Mmm. The weekend! Time to relax and sleep in. So of course I woke up at 5:45 this morning to what I swear was a knock on the back door.

The back door kind of freaks me out, anyway. Mostly because it's hard to lock and unlock. Which means I have to check to see that I've actually locked it three or four times before I'm convinced. So, yeah. I hear a firm "knock-knock" on the back door while it's dark out? Instantly awake.

Of course, nobody was there. It was probably an animal. I encourage the local urban fauna shamelessly. I wonder if the rap-tapping was someone with a complaint that I hadn't put out anything of interest last night.

The rest of the day shall be spent on the couch or in bed. I am wimping out and not going to miischelle's dance workshop today. I feel like a weasel, but I'm just not up to it. And what with the early wake-up and some new, exciting side effects of the antibiotics this morning? Yeah. Not so much with the dancing. Boo, hiss.

I woke up a couple times and thought, "Still time before the alarm" Then I woke up right at the time I should leave for work and said "Son of a Bitch!" hopped out of bed and was in the bathroom before the "It's Saturday hit me" I was able to go back to sleep, cause I am really good at that.

Thursday morning around 5:00AM, I heard male voices outside and laughter. At 5:00AM. Outside my house. I was on High Alert. I was torn between wanting to know what was going on and being afraid to find out. I checked all my locks and went about getting ready for work.

I THINK it was just the people who deliver that weekly newspaper that I don't even want and never even take out of the bag. Thursday is the morning when it appears.
