Dead again

Had a fantastic time with [livejournal.com profile] motherteresatoo, who flew out to spend the weekend with me. Lovely times shopping, dancing, and eating waaaaay too many carbs. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bellanorth, [livejournal.com profile] stuology, [livejournal.com profile] starstraf, and a couple other non lj'ers who came out dancing on Saturday. That was great fun! We definitely should do that more often.

Now I am down with another bad chest cold. I thought it was allergies when I woke up stuffy and groggy on Sunday, but this morning it's obvious that I've got respiratory troubles again. For your benefit, I will refrain from going into detail. Suffice to say I didn't wake up until 10:15 this morning, and since I'm definitely a morning person, that means I feel way bad.

Here's hoping I'm feeling better soon. I've got Vegas looming on the horizon and I don't want to be ill for that.

Sorry we didn't make it, got distracted with friends (the one who introduced us!)and then realized that it was already after midnight. I don't think I'd have been much fun dancing with the way my back hurt. Blech.
Feel better soon, honey. I don't want it to spoil your Vegas trip either!

Actually enjoyed the pearch from the dance floor facing bar, until I started to hear more and more about "well she isn't dancing right" comments, that combined with our house guest being ready to leave I decided to take off early

"Isn't dancing right" comments?

The gentleman sitting next to me was commenting on the bachelorette party and how some of the girls were not dancing right - one was 'to rigid' and all her moves were coreograped (sp?) and that when you are dancing at a club you are not supposed to be that structured. One of the other girls was to unstructured and he wasn't able to tell if she was having convulsions or dancing.

I tried to be polite and exchagne information that my guess is they were balet trained and if you have been dancing in the same style since you were six it is probally pretty hard to dance in some other style.

And he repeatedly informed me of his dunkeness level and how close it was to the point at which he was willing to dance.

Sometimes it is interesting to encounter the frat boy in their native environment for study, but it truely reminds me why I avoid the native environment.

Oh Puh-leeez.

Now that would have been a good reason to leave. =)

So sorry to hear you're down again. I had fun Saturday, given the unlikely mix of music, and look forward to a repeat soon. Take care of you; missing any part of the Vegas fun would be sucky.
