Marathon

A very quick update after a very long weekend:

Sewing is going ok. One dress done, one dress nearly done, one dress lacking a zipper and hem. Two dresses on the cutting table. Two days to go.

Still not sleeping well. Not sure if it's my usual seasonal insomnia. That usually causes me to lie awake between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00 a.m., but lately I've slept through the night (I think) but wake unrested and groggy. Yuck.

0verdrive's sister got married off Saturday without a hitch (ar ar ar). Fun reception. Amazingly good cake.

Meeting today to review final batch of candidates for Fall 2004. If I get the letters out today and there's nothing on my plate at 5:00 this afternoon, I will not be coming to work tomorrow.

Our flight for Vegas leaves in a little under 48 hours.

That moved from three sewing projects to five, quite ambitious. But I know you'll do slam through them, and you'll look so cute and feel so happy to be in Vegas that the burn won't even be remembered.

The first psuedo-cheongsam went so fast I decided to make another one (basically a two hour dress) and then I fell in love with another pattern. =)

Vivaaaaaa LAS VEGAS!

Vegas is great. Make time to sneak into the Bellagio and just gawk around. Rio's a great place to stay if you guys are ducking in on the strip. Have a great time!!

Yup! This is our fourth time to Vegas. I want to be able to afford to stay at the Bellagio someday. Sigh. We're actually staying at the convention hotel, The Gold Coast, which is next door to the Rio. I like being off the strip, personally.

Got a bit of insomnia, meself. I alternate between three states: relative lucidity, homicidal wish-I-was-a-giant-monster-crushing-the-city-and-all-you-stupid-monkeys, and half-catatonic. It's so great.
