Shake it

I woke up early and hungry. Not a good combo. I can eat in...fourteen or fifteen hours. Here's hoping that once I busy myself with today's tasks, I'll get distracted and my stomach will stop growling. I know I'm not going to starve. And thankfully, due to over a year of eating foods appropriate for my system, I don't have blood sugar issues that make it necessary for me to eat every several hours. The hunger is more annoying than anything else.

Just a reminder, for the locals: the Rogue's Roast and Benefit for Patrick Patterson is this evening.

I have a few errands to run before I lock myself in my sewing room/dance space and work on polishing up a few combos for tonight's gig.

Last night, some friends and I discussed a potential (and big) gig to take place in February. [livejournal.com profile] miischelle, will you be the equivalent of my gym buddy and encourage/browbeat me to set aside dance practice time at least twice a week this winter? I want to bring my best game to that show.

Oh oh oh! I found my Nikon camera! It was in my leather jacket after all. Apparently, when I returned it to its pocket, I missed the pocket and it fell into the lining. I'm very happy I decided to wear the leather jacket last night. When I put it on, I felt something bump against my right kidney. I knew immediately what it was, but it took a bit of fishing to get the thing out. It's still not my favorite camera, but it's a damn sight better than the Fuji.

Yay! The Borrowers gave back your camera :)

A quarter of the A will disperse with hunger pangs.

I hope things go well with the benefit.. I really want to be there, but alas, it may not happen. My best to everyone!

A quarter of the A will disperse with hunger pangs.

Thank you!

Understandable if you can't make it. Frankly, I can't believe I'm performing with some of these assholes again already. It hasn't even been a month! =D

hee!
(Truth be told, I go a half, but if you've not tried it yet, I'm erring on the side of caution)

I WILL GLAD ANNOY THE SHIT OUT OF YOU!!!!
(because if I'm annoying you about it, I have no excuse not to do the same activites myself!)

I'm just going to put it out there that you could also start a class, and then you would have the responsibility to practice for the good of the noobs (like me).

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm. That's a point. I think I could get myself to figure out a structure for a six-week absolute beginner class.

[identity profile] radiantmephit.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 02:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Zing! Maybe Stephanie (from Spooner Hall) would come too. Though, in that case I would be the only absolute beginner. I would be willing to post a couple flyers in the theater department and Robinson Gym.

Steph is way beyond taking a beginner class, yes. I'm pretty sure I could scrounge up six people to do a beginner class, just from my friends. And six is about the most I'd want to deal with, first time.

I just wanted to wish you the very best for tonight's performance (or should I wish you something akin to leg breakage? I've never been clear on that; )

I also wanted to let you know that James just finished digging the post holes for our fence, so we have A LOT of dirt. I thought I'd ask around and see if anyone needs any to fill any holes in their yard before the landfill gets it.

Just let me know,
Mari

Thank you! It went really well! Mostly.

And actually, yes, we have a giant hole in our front yard that always floods in the spring rains. Let me talk to [livejournal.com profile] mckitterick, but I'm betting dollars to doughnuts he'll take you up on it. Woohoo!
