Ha! Or, you know, I could just use one of my several patterns that are actually designed to be used as a jumper. Pinafore.

Funny, the word pinafore isn't used hardly at all here, and if it is, would be a sort of frilly apron-like garment (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~looper/pinafore.htm), usually worn by little girls now, with an Easter dress or something, unless they're members of a modestly-dressing religious group.

How is it that we use such different words for articles of clothing? Language is SO WEIRD.
