Keeping my head above the water
It's a good thing that I'm feeling happy and adequately compensated in my job these days, because goddamn I'm swamped right now. I haven't been able to take a lunch break either day this week, and it's looking like that trend is going to continue for the next several days.
My nose is therefore to the grindstone (good thing I've got this nose of mine). I'll limit my weekday online time in the next few weeks. You'll notice the timestamp on this entry. =/ Every day I leave the office with my inboxes (physical and digital) a little bit more full than they were the night before. Not cool.
This afternoon I gotta go see a woman about a thing. The results of this meeting might permanently change the way a particular event is handled. The fact that this event has been going on for nearly half my life, and I'm the one making the changes (pushing the changes, arguing for the changes, digging in my heels and insisting on the changes) is kind of freaking me out. Don't fuck this up, girl. But, you know. No pressure.
