The horror, the horror

Shrivelling. I am positively shrivelling from boredom here. It's awful. I've asked all the other admin folk if there's anything I can help with--nada. I did type one letter for a prof., but that was the only thing anyone had for me. Dying. I'm dying.

And I would very much like a nap.

Call him Sevvie and get your head bitten off.
You are Severus Snape.
You are a superbly sarcastic, somewhat evil wizard.
You are a former Death Eater but have found
your true calling in making students' life
hell.

the living. You're not real clear on why. You
feed on living human tissue and can be killed
by any sharp blow to the head.

So. Do what we'd all do. Slack off :)

Honey if I slacked any further, I'd slide off my balance ball.

Ditto.
I'm at a temp job that's like that.
Why won't people post more often on LiveJournal?

I would have loved to go to the show with you tonight, but I'm burned out from the playoffs last night and the requisite celebration.

I would guess it's because they (the lucky stiffs) have a task to perform at their job. =)

Gawd I so much more prefer busy days than I do these long days of nothing that just drag drag drag.

Sorry you won't be joining us tonight. Coming to Sellout tomorrow?

LJ is how I pass such days too, so I have to echo the same question. Having one today, in fact. Either of you lovely ladies use an IM?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2004-04-23 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope, alas. Can't install it on my machine.

But I'm wasting some fabulous time this afternoon doing some online shopping. Hancock's has Vogue 75% off and Butterick $1.99 this weekend! So I'm finding the patterns I want at the comfort of my desk, then I'm zipping off to the store after work before I go home to nap.

At least you are productive- if for you. I'm thinking laundry and packing, but I can't somehow manage that while here. Too bad, for I have to do it before the show. Which rules out a quick Topeka run for a shirt- the blasted Target here is out of my size in both shirts I liked.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2004-04-23 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Bummer. =(

They do have Targets in Indiana...

[identity profile] bellanorth.livejournal.com 2004-04-23 01:13 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL I did think of that. But being downtown, I'm counting on local culture and not mass merchandise shopping. More likely to hit the war memorial and children's museum for funky toys.

I should just plan some things that I know I need help with and keep a stack in my office so's you can grab it when needed! Hmmm... the "Lydia box" by the door... sounds like a plan!

Oooh, I know! I could ask you to help me convert my old Norton Textra stories and novel sections to Word. Requires getting rid of weird characters and re-inserting the underlines. Sound like fun?

Thanks,
Chris
