A young woman just walked into my office and asked if I was Lydia. I said yes, and she said that someone in the hallway said she should come talk to me.

She needed a band-aid, and was told I was the most likely person to be able to help her.

I have quite the assortment of Things People Might Need stashed in my middle desk drawer. They include, but are not limited to:

Cough drops
Safety pins
Emergen-C
Clear nail polish
Nail polish remover
Tums
Tampons
Plastic forks

Hydrocortisone cream
Eye drops
Pseudoephedrine
Hand sanitizer
Mouthwash
Earplugs
Dental floss

And that's just what I can see in the drawer without moving stuff around.

I have a whole zippered pharmacopeia section in my purse that sounds much like that. I will list the things currently in it as soon as I get home from getting the boys from school. Because why not!!

In my purse atm is:

A "wound care" baggie which contains:
Hibiclens packets
Neosporin
Various bandaids (from small round, to giant squares)
Cortizone-10 cream
2nd Skin gel/burn pads
Moleskin
tweezers

A "pain relief" baggie which contains individual pill baggies (all containing ~8 each) of:
Tylenol 8 Hour (acetaminophen)
Excedrin Tension (Aceta and caffeine)
Excedrin Migraine (Aceta, Aspirin, Caffeine)
Excedrin Back and Body (Aceta and Aspirin)
Tylenol P.M.
Aspirin 325mg
Advil
Motrin (ibuprofen)
Alieve (naproxen)

A "tummy care" baggie which has individual packs and/or baggies of:
Zantac
Alka Seltzer
Mylanta
Tums
Pepto chewables
Imodium
Electrolyte strips
Gas X

A "colds and sore throat" care baggie which has:
Alka Seltzer Plus (Mucus and congestion)
Theraflu Warming Relief
Vitamin C drops
Black cherry non-menthol cough drops
Black cherry menthol cough drops
Halls regular ol' menthol cough drops
Chloraseptic suck on things
Sucrets suck on things

There is a hygiene baggie which has:
a travel toothbrush
Brush Ups
travel size toothpaste
travel size mouthwash
a small comb
a small lighted mirror
tampons
pantyliners

There is also, pretty much on the loose in there:
a travel bottle of peroxide
a travel bottle contact cleaning solution
a thermometer
a sewing kit

I iz PREPARED.

(This carrying of things started with the child, and always wanting to have children's tylenol, etc. on hand, and band aids, and then just expanded because if you are going to carry *this* then you might as well carry ... and it sounds like it would take WAY more space than it does, but it's pretty compact, actually.)

ETA: oh, and a small bottle of hand sanitizer. And there is a travel size bottle of sunscreen carabeenered to the outside of my purse. But, looking at your list I see I need some forks. (oh, and there are those travel packs of tissues. and wet wipes. and eye glass cleaner wipes. but those are just NORMAL purse things, right?)

ETA2: and a baggie of Q-tips. forgot about them because they shoved in the wrong section. ...

Whew! I was worried I was the only one. I have all of that with the exception of Tiger Balm (I don't know Tiger Balm) but I do have tea tree salve, and earplugs.
